Join us for the inaugural BE BOLD 5K sponsored by Foothills Sports Medicine on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. The goal of this 5K is to aid an organization that is in need of financial support; meanwhile creating an event that promotes fitness and fun for life! Together, in 2015, we take on the BOLD task of aiding AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) a program that benefits students who are not traditionally represented on university campuses to achieve their college dreams. Students who are in this program are normally minority, of lower socioeconomic background, whom will be a first generation college student. Our BOLD task is assisting these students in overcoming their hurdles and attaining their college dream!  For more information on our philanthropic efforts and on AVID, click here. The course at Kiwanis Park offers an enjoyable experience for the competitive runner and those out to spend time with the family. Participate in the 5K Competitive, 5K Open or 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. For those who still feel BOLD following the race, they have the option to enjoy breakfast, an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage and live music from The Random Gingers at Devil’s Advocate in Tempe.

Course Info: The competitive 5K will be more of a challenge with the inclusion of hills. The open 5K will provide a flatter run without any of the hills.
